Such a great ambiance with creative, delicious flavors and energetic staff! Fluke ceviche (5/5) - The fluke just melted in your mouth, but what really set this dish apart was the dressing. A lot of the ceviches I've had were way too sour, but this one was so bright and fruity. We later learned that they import Hallabong oranges from Jeju, which explains why this dish was so vibrant! Popcorn chicken (3/5) - Tasted like popcorn chicken, nothing special but not bad. Mushroom bibimbap (4/5) - Love all the different types of mushrooms, a variety of earthy flavors and textures! The hen of the woods was marinated in soy sauce, giving it a flavor punch. Oxbone cream pasta (3/5) - Tasted like a carbonara, not really special. Crab drop (5/5) - Oh wow this dish was good. Rich umami from the crab; the broth was soothing, creamy, sweet, slightly spicy; the silken tofu was such a nice texture. All of this combined, you get a delectable dish that checks all the boxes! Potato nuggets (4.5/5) - The truffle mayonnaise is so fragrant and rich, so good! The only reason I docked by 0.5 was because the potato nuggets were a disappointing accompaniment compared to Hojokban's truffle potato pancakes. Toast roll (5/5) - Crispy on the outside, rich and creamy on the inside. The shrimp was minced in a way that it didn't feel exactly like a shrimp toast you'd expect, it was interesting. The dipping sauce was a perfect, delicious accompaniment. Seoul'sbury steak (4/5) - Clever name haha, it was a gourmet version of a Salisbury steak. B as in banana (5/5) - They give you some frosting to draw and you enter a competition. Winner each month gets free sake! Guess what we drew :) (disclaimer: we did not win) Charlie's deli bagel (4/5) - An ice cream version of the cream cheese and jelly bagel, very creative. Our server was so amazing and brought great energy and passion! The funny names, dessert drawing competition, and fun twists on dishes were delightful. The dishes were fun and creative and delicious. Love this place!

Overall rating: 4.7 I've been wanting to try more Korean food and I was very excited by the popularity of this place. I wish I did more research though because this is very much more fusion than Korean. In all of the reviews they also mention getting a shot when you arrive which my friends & I didn't get. I realized later on because it was one of my friend's bdays, we got the shot towards the end. The waiter was so friendly though and helpful for the menu. The area was very crowded and you can tell it's a popular spot. Ratings below: 1. Corn 5/5 - def get! 2. Ribs - 5/5 - really good! 3. Mushroom bimbimbap 4/5, goodish 4. Banana dessert 5. Popcorn chicken 3/5 - meh, not worth it 6. Oxbone Cream Pasta 2/5 - felt very out of place. This is just pasta carbonara. 7. Steak 1/5 - not at all as described & don't recommend. Food was ok regardless, just not the place for me.

The food and service here are amazing!!! My favorite dish we got was the mushroom bibimbap (I forgot to take a photo bc I was so excited to just dive in) and I keep thinking about eating it again. Knocking off a star just because it was crazy hot in the restaurant so wish there were more fans or some AC, but otherwise it would've been a 5/5 experience. I can't wait to go back!

This may be my favorite restaurant in NYC. I came in with pretty high expectations after hearing about it online, and my girlfriend came thinking she wouldn't like it cause we have completely different tastes in food. I made a reservation a couple weeks in advance for 7:30 on a thursday to celebrate my birthday. The inside is pretty loud but whatever it's NYC places get like that but just know they do have outdoor seating if that is a problem for you. Everything we got was amazing. They give each person a shot of soju on the house when you sit down and their sweet tea is a dollar and the perfect level of sweetness (as someone from the south that is shocking up here). We got the fluke ceviche, popcorn chicken, toast roll, crap drop and the pasta dish. The toast roll was a sleeper hit and just felt so comforting and the perfect bite with two pieces per order. The pasta was a favorite, like an upscale carbonara. The literal only notes I have was that the crab drop was sorta lukewarm but I still ate the entire thing it didn't even matter. Also, while the ceviche was good and I would eat it again, it wasn't super unique to other ceviche dishes so I would probably get something else instead of it next time I go. Overall amazing experience and will be coming back!
